The following projects are web projects that Laryn has created and/or
worked extensively on. If you have a web project you would like help with, contact Laryn for
an estimate. Services range from simple splash pages to sites developed
with a content management system (which allows browser-based updating
by you without the need to know HTML or how to FTP, etc. and also
allows you to keep the information on the site current.) Laryn also can
also provide identity design, print graphic design and photography services and can recommend or manage web hosting for your site. (The people or organizations in this section do not necessarily endorse or agree with any statements or opinions listed on this site. They are shown as samples of design Laryn has done only).
EarthRights International wanted to transform their static HTML site (and all of its broken links) into a dynamic database driven site that could generate its own links and be updated on the fly. We developed an expansive site with custom modules, a photo gallery and a user-registration system, with more features to be incorporated over time. Within a day of the launch of the new site, Google News was picking up ERI as a news source.

Right Reality houses information on David Batstone, the WAG, and David's book, Saving the Corporate Soul. It is set up in a content management system, which makes it easy to keep the site current as well as separating the content from the design. Special features include "search engine friendly" auto-generated URLs (for instance, www.rightreality.com/the_wag_ezine/ will take you to the page about the WAG) which make it easier to direct people to a specific page and will also increase the exposure due to search engines, which can understand the addresses more easily than a typical database query string.
The WAG is an e-newsletter put out by David Batstone of Right Reality and by Worthwhile Magazine. It is sent out to thousands of people each week for an informed perspective on the world of business and ethics. The WAG combines a weekly column by David Batstone ("Right Reality") with summaries of other articles that are of interest to the subscriber base. It is provided free of charge (You can subscribe to the WAG here).
Laryn designed the look and feel of the e-newsletter template and he also manages weekly production (formatting the content and scheduling the email delivery each week).
