EarthRights International wanted to transform their static HTML site (and all of its broken links) into a dynamic database driven site that could generate its own links and be updated on the fly. We developed an expansive site with custom modules, a photo gallery and a user-registration system, with more features to be incorporated over time. Within a day of the launch of the new site, Google News was picking up ERI as a news source.

Quelques arpents de neige is an environmental history group at McGill University. Their name is taken from a document written by Voltaire, so initial drafts of the logo were based around Voltaire's handwriting. In the end, the simpler font and icon were used.
The Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN) wanted a logo that incorporated the image of Africa and a symbol known as a "sankofa," a bird looking over its shoulder, indicating the importance of learning from the past as we move into the future.
The DC Youth Advisory Council wanted a logo that contained the usual elements of the official DC Government (the "stars and bars" that represent DC), but with a fresh new attitude to show that, although established by the government, they spoke with the strength and voice of youth.
I recently completed an invitation package for the annual Mentor's, Inc. graduation celebration, including the save-the-date card, invitation, and program booklet.
Dave Nyland's debut CD, Interwoven, required a logo that could be used on the packaging as well as on the website to promote it. This logo uses a typeface that was manipulated and incorporates the ancient symbol of the triquetra, representing the Trinity and eternity.
These business cards continue a look-and-feel that was begun on the Right Reality website, to provide a seamless integration with existing branding efforts and present a unified face to the public.
Right Reality is a project of David Batstone and home of the WAG ezine. The logo needed to be clean and professional, portraying an emphasis on ethics and business.
Right Reality houses information on David Batstone, the WAG, and David's book, Saving the Corporate Soul. It is set up in a content management system, which makes it easy to keep the site current as well as separating the content from the design. Special features include "search engine friendly" auto-generated URLs (for instance, www.rightreality.com/the_wag_ezine/ will take you to the page about the WAG) which make it easier to direct people to a specific page and will also increase the exposure due to search engines, which can understand the addresses more easily than a typical database query string.
The WAG is an e-newsletter put out by David Batstone of Right Reality and by Worthwhile Magazine. It is sent out to thousands of people each week for an informed perspective on the world of business and ethics. The WAG combines a weekly column by David Batstone ("Right Reality") with summaries of other articles that are of interest to the subscriber base. It is provided free of charge (You can subscribe to the WAG here).
Laryn designed the look and feel of the e-newsletter template and he also manages weekly production (formatting the content and scheduling the email delivery each week).
Urban Family Development was in need of tickets and flyers for their annual Neighborhood Learning Center auction (March 11, 2005). A Brazilian theme (the auction will also feature live Brazilian music and tropical foods and beverages) was highlighted by using the Brazilian flag and a parrot of similar colors in the background, and carrying the colors through.
This
logo was under development for Cesar Chavez Public Charter School for Public Policy in
Washington, DC. They wanted a logo that showed the movement from study to action, from learning to leadership.
The
packaging and design for the Interwoven CD was put together
following the thematic idea of the interwoven nature of our lives.
Background images and textures were blended from a handful of
photographs and the logo was drawn up in
Illustrator.

Dave Nyland needed a web presence to announce, sample and sell his new CD, Interwoven, and to inform people that he was available as a worship leader, singer / songwriter, for church services, retreats, conferences, and youth events.
